JP Donleavy, the literary cuckold

The Independent Ireland reminds of this remarkable story about the Irish writer JP Donleavy. Donleavy was at the height of his literary fame but it wasn't too long before Mary met the honourable Kieran Guinness, master of the local hunt and son of the second Lord Moyne. Behind Donleavy's back, they had a torrid affair. The illicit union produced a daughter, Rebecca, but Donleavy was unaware of the adultery. Rebecca was but a toddler when Mary then had an affair with Kieran's brother, Finn. That relationship also produced a child, Rory, and again Donleavy believed the child to be his.Bohemian life went on at Levington with Donleavy besotted with the two young children. It was nearly a decade later that Mary and JP divorced and she married Finn Guinness and upped sticks to Biddesden Stud in Wiltshire. The children took the Guinness name.
Late but not forgotten, JP gets 7 on the cuckold scale
