Alex Tourk is a mayor cuckold

For the first blog of the year 2012 we go back to 2007. The Daily Beast had a story about Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco. Since his 2005 divorce from Fox News commentator Kimberly Guilfoyle, he had become something of a man about town, spotted at all the fashionable places with various beautiful women on his arm. Then The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Alex Tourk, one of Newsom's top advisers, had quit his job as manager of Newsom's re-election campaign after his wife, Ruby Rippey-Tourk, had confessed to un affair with the mayor, apparently as part of the therapy she was undergoing for substance abuse. The the mayor admitted he'd had an affair with a female staffer who happened to be married to one of his closest friends.

Until the story broke Newsom had approval ratings at around 70 percent. I think this calls for a 7 on the cuckold scale for poor Alex.
